THE DHONI ERA

Image
Mahendra Singh Dhoni or MS Dhoni is one of the most popular Indian cricketers. Putting his great leadership skills to test, he served as the former captain of the Indian national cricket team however, he captained the team only in the limited-overs format. Also known for his excellent wicket-keeping skills, he had always been a gem to the Indian team even in some very hard situations. He made his debut in One Day International (ODI) in December 2004, playing against Bangladesh. A year later, he debuted in test cricket against Sri Lanka. Opinions are divided over MS Dhoni’s title as the greatest captain in the history of India. While he remains the only international captain to have won all the three ICC tournaments World cup, T-20 world cup, ICC Champions trophy, (in addition to this his team CSK also won the IPL title three times under his captaincy) he has also been at the receiving an end of long streaks of overseas defeats. It cannot be doubted, however, that nobody has serv

CSK beat RCB by 7 wickets in IPL Opener

Image
The IPL opener was not that much thrilled and aggressive which the fans were expecting between the RCB and CSK. In MA Chidambaram Stadium MS Dhoni won the toss and opted to field first. RCB walked in with just the two spinners whereas CSK came with three spinners plus two part-time spinners. This decision of CSK proved as the reason of their victory over the RCB. CSK spinners took eight wickets, the highest number in IPL and RCB were bowled out on the score of just 70. CSK started brilliantly   reducing RCB to 39/4 in 8 overs. Thanks to   Harbhajan Singh who dismissed the three main batsman of the RCB Virat Kohli(6),   MM Ali(9) and AB de Villiers(9). On the other hand Imran Tahir was also making pressure on the batsman of the RCB and finished with 3 wickets of ShivamDubey(2), NA Saini(2) and Chahal(4). Batsman of the Match When all the batsmen were losing their wickets against the spinners of CSK, Parthiv Patel somehow controlled his temptation to go for the big shots and opt

FIRST SEMI'S FOR AJAX SINCE-97

By:-Tanmay Kar Ajax's splendid performance led Juventus to their elimination by passing win of 2-1 away and end the Serie A team's dreams of winning the Champions League. Ajax's 19-year-old captain Matthijs de Ligt headed the winner from the corner in the 67th minute of the quarterfinal second leg as the Dutch side came from behind to clinch a 3-2 aggregate win and reach the semi's after a long wait of 22years. Ronaldo, aiming for a fourth consecutive Champions League title after winning the last three with Real Madrid, put Juventus ahead in the 28th minute with a typically classy header, his sixth goal of the competition. But Donny van de Beek levelled the score six minutes later before the visitors swept Juventus aside in the second half with wave after wave of attacks as they earned a semifinal against Manchester City or Tottenham Hotspur. Juventus were forced to replace Paulo Dybala with Moise Kean at the start of the second half, but it was Ajax who seized

We sat down with the five times Balon D’or winner and the all-time goal scoring forward of FC Barcelona Leo Messi. The calm and collected Argentine is pretty confident about his claims of Barca going all the way through in the tournament this season despite getting embarrassed by the hands of AS ROMA last season in the Quarter Finals, a stage they have failed to qualify from for the last three years. “What happened last year was unexpected. United need another Nou Camp Miracle By Utkarsh Gulati | 10th April, 2019 The United left-back gave Barca a deserved lead on 12 minutes when he deflected Luis Suarez's header into his own net, with the goal confirmed following a VAR review.
